Operating Grants (Clinical and Population Health and Biomedical)

A research timeline is required for all operating grant submissions. A timeline template will be provided, and it will be used to monitor the progress of the project, if the project is awarded, in comparison to the annual progress report that will be submitted on a yearly basis.

Publications:

Any additional manuscript that have been accepted for publication after the operating grant submission deadline can be submitted by email to msresearchgrant@mssociety.ca by January 7, 2019 (two weeks prior to the in-person review meeting on January 21-25, 2019) to be considered.

Eligibility criteria for collaborators

Collaborators can now be recruited from international institutions only if their role fills an unmet need that is not available in Canada. Furthermore, all collaborators are required to provide a letter of collaboration which outlines their role in the project.

Clinical and Population Health Pilot grant

Resubmissions

Pilot grants that were unsuccessful in their previous submission to the MSSC pilot grant competition are considered resubmissions. A Pilot Grant application can only be re-submitted once, for a total of two submissions.

endMS Personnel Awards

Renewal application

All personnel interested in renewing their award for another term need to submit a letter of support from their supervisor and co-supervisor (if applicable). The letter of support will need to state the progress made by the candidate during the last funding term.

Training Overview:

All personnel that is renewing for their second (Renewal year2) or third (Renewal year 3) term should provide details regarding their development as a trainee (i.e., courses taken, conferences attended, presentations), the skills and expertise acquired during the last year and what are the major achievements obtained as well as the challenges faced carrying out the research project.
